Electronics system design

The Instrument Control Electronics (ICE) provides the control functions for all the functions in the instrument, excluding the Scientific Detector system and its associated Cryostat and Vacuum controller. The proposed control system is based on the concept of Local Control Units, at whose core we find the PLC CPU.

The decentralized module is called Peripheral Control Unit (PCU). An example are the control functions of the Calibration unit and the Fiber link.
